Your on‑time rent payments will show up on your credit reports as a special type of account called a tradeline. Here’s what to look for and how to understand what you see.
Which credit bureaus show my Esusu rent payments?
Esusu reports your eligible on‑time rent payments to the three major credit bureaus:
• Experian
• Equifax
• TransUnion
You may see Esusu appear slightly differently on each bureau’s report, but all three can receive your rent data once you’re fully onboarded.
What name should I look for on my credit report?
On your credit reports, your rent reporting tradeline may appear under names such as:
• “Esusu” or “Esusu Financial”
• “ESUSUFIN”
• “Esusu/Residence”
• Your property management company’s name or your property owner’s name, sometimes combined with “Esusu”
If you don’t immediately see “Esusu” by itself, check for your property manager or owner’s name and look for an open rental / open account‑type tradeline that matches your rent amount.
How is the account type labeled?
Credit bureaus and many credit monitoring tools use standard categories for all accounts, so your Esusu rent reporting tradeline might be labeled as:
• “Rental” or “Open” account
• Something that looks like a loan, such as: “Installment”, “Open loan”, or “satisfying a loan”
This does not mean you took out a new loan with Esusu or your property. It’s just the way the bureaus and some apps categorize the tradeline so it can be scored like other accounts. Your rent agreement is still a lease, not a traditional loan.
What details will I see in the Esusu tradeline?
Depending on the bureau and reporting cycle, your rent reporting tradeline may show:
• The account name (Esusu and/or your property manager/owner)
• The account type (rental / open / installment‑style)
• Your scheduled monthly payment amount (or similar)
• Your payment status, usually reflecting a series of on‑time payments over the months reported
• Whether the account is open or closed/satisfied (for example, after you move out or your lease ends)
Because Esusu is a positive‑only reporter, the payment history section will only reflect months where we had an eligible on‑time rent payment to report. Missed rent is not reported as a negative mark.
